IDEATHON event “Technology-based solutions before, during and after disaster”, organized with the support of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and in cooperation with Entrepreneurship Center Izmir, Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Young Businessmen Association, IzQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, was completed. Awards were given to the winning teams at the ceremony held at IzQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality attended the ceremony. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor gave the award to the Alsancak R&D Alfa team, which won first place with the “Messenger Project” they prepared. Aegean Communication Team, which received the second prize in the program with its “Aegean Communication Project”, received its award. Yelkenbiçer said, “It was nice to have such successful ideas in such a short time. “There is no winner or loser today,” he said.

Cash prize for the winners
Within the scope of the program, a team of 2 people, consisting of 4 to 15 people, produced projects by addressing the disaster issue in the context of new technologies throughout the day on 17 and 18 November. There was a requirement for there to be at least one woman in the teams. The projects produced by young people to create a more prepared and resilient society and resilient cities against disasters were evaluated by the jury. The team that came third in the competition was awarded 10 thousand liras, the second team was awarded 15 thousand liras, and the first team was awarded 20 thousand liras.
